Hello world.
I downloaded the AR Toolkit for the PC yesterday, version 2.11. I am
using Windows ME with a Sony VAIO PCG-FX140 laptop. The cameras I have
available are a 3COM Home Connect USB camera and a Song miniDV camcorder
that can be connected via firewire.
Attempting to run Simple.exe, brings up an error dialog box claiming
"Simple has caused an error in MFC42.DLL" with another window stuck in the
background ("Select an Image Source Provider").
Attempting to run Excamera.exe brings up the provider window which
actually lets me select the 3COM camera, but as soon as I do, I get
blue-screen exception errors.
Both cameras work on the laptop when using the graphedt.exe program that
comes with DirectX 8.0a SDK when testing with various comments from the
Intel OpenCV library. (But interesting, they don't work using the
standalone OpenCV applications--just using graphedt.exe and manually
connecting the DirectShow filters.)
Any suggestions on how to make Excamera.exe and Simple.exe run? Am I just
doomed using Windows ME? Should I attempt to upgrade to Win 2000?
Regards,
