as far as I know, there are no OST glasses (at least no _high-res_
versions), neither mono nor stereo on the market right now.
Perhaps on SIGGRAPH you have seen one of the several industrial prototypes
of Canon/Mixed Reality Systems Lab. They come in very different setups (w/ or
w/out built-in camera(s), ...). But I think, you cannot buy them. You can try
to put your name on a list at Canon/MRSL. Unfortunately I forgot the name of
the guy with the list to contact at Canon.
The alternatives right now are:
- use cheap Sony, Olympus, etc. glasses w/ low resolutions
- try to get used Sony glasses like the LDI-D100BE (stereo)
- same with Sony S-700E (mono)
- buy Cy-visors (800x600, mono), but absolutely not comparable in quality w/
- contact Canon (see above)
- ...wait for better times
I would very appreciate any hint to new gla!
No - other than the canon prototype AR glasses with the built-in cameras (very trick..)
The Cy-visor isnt see-thru, as I recollect.
The io-displays are going to be stereo, but not see-thru.
PS: I did a reply to your message && it was to you, not the mailing list.
Not sure why... b

At Siggraph I have seen an ad for a (pseudo) see-through display with similar spec than the Glasstron LDI-B100 (stereo) but much cheaper. Does anybody recall seeing such a product?
