I have also encountered this problem when compiling ARToolkit in an MFC
application. Try going to "Project", "Settings","Link", and then in the
Project Options edit box put the link option /NODEFAULTLIB:"LIBC.lib"
....you probably will also need to do this for IBC.lib. Hope that helps.

Subject: Problem with VRML-Libraries in MFC applications
Greetings,
I am currently working on an MFC application, and I also want to use
ARToolKit's VRML- parsing and rendering abilities.
As soon as I started to include LibVRML97Core.lib, LibVRML97GL.lib and
LibVRML97JS.lib, I got linker errors such as
IBC.lib(crt0dat.obj) : error LNK2005: _exit already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(MSVCRTD.dll)
LIBC.lib(crt0dat.obj) : error LNK2005: __exit already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(MSVCRTD.dll)
LIBC.lib(crt0init.obj) : error LNK2005: ___xc_z already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(cinitexe.obj)
LIBC.lib(crt0init.obj) : error LNK2005: ___xc_a already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(cinitexe.obj)
LIBC.lib(crt0init.obj) : error LNK2005: ___xi_z already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(cinitexe.obj)
LIBC.lib(crt0init.obj) : error LNK2005: ___xi_a already defined in
msvcrtd.lib(cinitexe.obj)
I use ARToolKitPCVRML (v2.43?) and Microsoft Visual C++.
If anybody can help me with this problem, it would be great.
Thanks, Denis Mohnhaupt
