thank you for releasing this interesting piece of software!
however,
i got it (2.61 , ieee1394 DV version) to compile on linux redhat7.2, ive 
got libdv 0.9.0 (artoolkit 2.61 does not compile with libdv 0.9.5, some 
constructors have changed...) installed and working (i can pipe 
dvconnect to playdv and see an image) but with all artoolkit apps i get 
a black screen.  SimpleTest executes, recognizes ieee1394 bus signals 
(turning the camera on/off) but arVideoGetImage() returns null.  all my 
kernel modules are installed and my /dev/'s are created.  

if it helps ill post my simpleTest executable with extra printf's on the 
buffer values and the output from it.
