for details.
Recently the fields of augmented and mixed reality have
generated intense interest among researchers, developers
and users in both acadamia and industry. Augmented
reality is showing promise as an exciting new form of
human computer interaction. As part of the phenomenom
it has been witnessed that a large group of researchers
and developers around the world are using the public
domain ARToolkit for their research and development
work, and in some ways is becoming a common library
for augmented reality research and development. The
uses of the ARtoolkit have been seen in research work
ranging from industrial training, collaborative work,
novel interfaces, teleconferencing, novel multimedia,
ubiquitous computing, computer games and computer
entertainment.
Thus, the purpose of this conference is for the first time
to bring together the researchers, developers, and users of
the ARToolkit around the world to participate in a unique
workshop which will involve addressing academic and
research issues related to the ARToolkit, tutorials from
the creators of the ARToolkit, posters on applications of
the ARToolkit in industry, media and academia, live
demonstrations of latest work, a unique ARToolkit
contest, videos, and presentations on new codes and
extensions fot the ARToolkit.
