Hello,
i am involved in the AMIRE project (http://www.amire.net) which is
sponsored by the EU IST Programme (http://www.cordis.lu/ist).
We are currently modifying our VisualStudio project files. Therefore we
try to make the integration of other libraries as easy as possible. This
also includes the integration of newer library versions that could be
realized by using Microsoft Windows DLL files. To add the DLL support to
a library you have to make some modifications in the sourcecode.
Therefore we have made these modifications to the ARToolKit library
version 2.65, which is located on the ART02 CD. Further we made
VisualStudio .NET project files for the ARToolKit library, utils and
examples.
Our modifications cover the following features:
* Microsoft Windows DLL support
* An improved ARFrameGrabber class based on the version provided by
ARToolKit 2.52 for Microsoft Windows Direct Show. With this version it
is possible to change the size of the grabbed image, which allows aou
now to grab images of the size 640x480.
* Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Project files for the ARToolKit.
Further details, the source package, and the binary package are
available under the following link:
http://mtd.fh-hagenberg.at/depot/graphics/artoolkit/index.html
Prof. Dr. Hirokazu Kato has told me that Dr. Mark Billinghurst will put
this information also on ARToolKit website.
We have tested this modified release on several windows systems but we
have not tested it for side effects on MacOS, Linux, or SGI based systems.
I hope our modifications will be very usefull for any windows developer,
who is using the ARToolKit.
Best regards,
