Hello,
I've got the same problem (working with ARToolKit2.61
on linux RedHat 8.0).
Starting an example gives me the following message:
arVideoOpen: channel# is not valid
In config.h I changed the following:
#define DEFAULT_VIDEO_CHANNEL 0.
Now I get this error: error: setting palette
The error arises from *ar2VideoOpen( char *config ) in
VideoLinuxV4L/video.c:
if(ioctl(vid->fd, VIDEOCSPICT, &vp)) {
printf("error: setting palette");
free( vid );
return 0;
}
I'm not sure if changing the DEFAULT_VIDEO_CHANNEL to
0 is the right approach.
I also use the philips 740 usb-webcam (ToUcam PCVC 740K)
and xawtv is running fine.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
Does anybody work with this camera (or USB-Cameras in general)
on linux?
Regards
Rainer
