Hello!
I'm just starting to use ARToolKit, so this question might seem silly to you all, but still I hope that I could get some good answers from this group.
I'm trying to make ARToolKit to work without a camera, just to read a picture from a file and do the processing. I thought that this wouldn't be to hard, but until now I havn't managed.
I'm adding a small example of the code that I'm working with, only a few rows to test the function.
Is there a specific type the picture file should be stored as, like jpg or bmp?
My best to you all!
// Kai
"a lot of includes"
int thresh = 100;
main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
ARUint8 *dataPtr;
ARMarkerInfo *marker_info;
int marker_num;
int error;
int size;
dataPtr = "pure"; /*pure is the name of the file containing the picture*/
/* detect the markers in the video frame */
error = arDetectMarker(dataPtr, thresh, &marker_info, &marker_num);
if( error < 0 )
{
cleanup();
exit(0);
}
printf("number of captured: %d\n", marker_num);
}
