Hi all,
I've replied separately to Markus, but thought this may be of utility
to anyone else doing ARToolKit work under OS X:
You might wish to try out the ProjectBuilder project I put together,
which allows the various programs to be edited, compiled, run and
debugged from within ProjectBuilder- saves a lot of hassle.
Get the stuffit archive from
http://www.eden.net.nz/phil/develop/20031119artoolkit.sit and unpack
into the main directory of the ARToolKit install. Open the project
file. Clicking run will run the active target; you can switch targets
using the target dropdown menu to run other the built programs. I
suggest you start by running the "Configure" target, then do a clean
build and then switch to the simpleTest target.
One important caveat.. you'll have to manually edit the working
directory for each target, or else the program won't find the pattern
files etc.. you do this under the "exectables" tab. They have to be
absolute paths.
People are welcome to contact me directly for more help. Additionally
I've put a lot of work into advancing the state of ARToolKit on the
Mac recently, and hope to release this in the not-too-distant future.
Some massive performance improvements are in the works.
