I am currently evaluating/ prototyping some tracking approaches for my
Master thesis.
Has anyone experiences with pose estimation from just three points. I know
how ARToolkit
calculates the pose, but it's using four points. I already read in some
papers that it's
possible to estimate the pose with three points, but I can't find the math
to solve this problem.
The information I have for calculating the pose:
- a triangle defined by three points ( 3D Points relative to each other,
like three ARToolkit marker coordinates)
- the triangles side which is turned to the camera
- the image coordinates of the three points
- and all the intrinsic camera parameters
