Hello,

I am using the ARToolkit to track different kind of medical object. 
However I have some robustness problem during the pattern recognition.
Indeed, the software does not manage to recognize easily these two 
different patterns :

I would like to modify the recognition procedure, but I encounter some 
problems understanding some parameter in the C code. Could someone help me ?


1) in the function "arDetectMarker" (arDetectMarker.c):
what do the variables "area" and "clip" correspond to ?

2) In the function "labeling2" (arLabeling.c):

-what are for the variable "work" and "work2" ?

-I do not understand how the pointer l_image is initialized, and what it 
contains. I see that it is equal to "&l_imageL[0];" or "&l_imageR[0];", 
but l_imageL/l_imageR seem to contain nothing as well.

Could somebody help me ?
