has anyone had problems with specifically logitech messenger cameras and
Will run fine but within ARToolkit apps such as simple.exe - getting
blank screen - this is across a number of laptops and desktop PC's.
We are having no problems with pro400
Is it a problem with directx? The PC's all have directx9.* installed
Any ideas - or known issue with bargain cameras?

I had the same problem with the QuickCam Express. It's easy to solve if
have the latest drivers that you can download from logitech's page.
After you install the drivers it will add an icon to the system tray.
the artoolkit application is running click on this camera system tray
and choose camera settings, then you have the options "Mirror
and "Mirror Vertical". I only had to choosed "Mirror Vertical" and the=20=
video is ok now.
