Hi Kirk,
We have avoided releasing a compiled windows binary, since the toolkit
does not yet support runtime configuration of some parameters (e.g.
camera settings.) However, we would encourage you to do a binary
compilation for your students, especially if they are all using the
same type of camera.
As for statically linked binaries.. difficult to do because of the
dependencies on DSVideoLib, which is built as a DLL. Its too much to
expect users to rebuild DSVideoLib, hence we have also avoided going
for a completely statically linked toolkit on Windows. All the other
libraries are statically linked however, and on Mac OS X and Linux, all
libs are statically linked.
