I am using the recent ARToolKitPlus, ver.2.0.2.
>From the video in the website, I saw the tracking
produces pretty stable pose estimation.
But, I am getting very very jittery outputs, especially at
z-coordinate axis. In my current configuration, marker is on a table
and a camera is attached to the ceiling, directly looking down
towards the marker. I assume z-coordinate is along the camera's
optical axis. Due to the jitter, the overlayed graphical object looks
like jumping up and down from the table.
As I am using the multiple separate markers (not multiple
markers in a fixed configuration), I intialized the single marker
tracker class and used arDetectMarker() for marker dectection
and rppGetTransMat() to get pose of each detected marker.
My questions are:
What are the factors that cause the tracking unstable?
Any suggestion to receive more stable results?
