Dear AR developer,

We just released ARToolKitPlus version 2.1.0.

Major changes since 2.0.x:

A new fixed point implementation:
Now works great without Intel GPP. This makes usage of the GPP library
with ARToolKitPlus basically deprecated. It also makes it possible to
run ARToolKitPlus fast on embedded devices that do not have an XScale
processor. Define _USEFIXED_ instead of _USEGPP_ to switch to the new
fixed-point implementation. For those who are happy with GPP it is still
supported...

Switching pixel-format at runtime:
Pixel-format can now be switched at anytime. Do to some preprocessor
tricks (generating a separate labeling function for each pixel-format)
this new feature does not introduce any performance losses.

MS Smartphone 2005 support:
>From version 2.1 on, we support mobile phones running Windows Mobile
2005 too. Project files for VisualStudio 2005 are included.

Better support for tracking multiple single-markers with
TrackerSingleMarker:
Several users complained about difficulties tracking more than one
marker with TrackerSingleMarker. Until now the solution was to use the
base class Tracker instead. To just use TrackerSingleMarker one can do
now something like this:

  // find all markers, do not calculate any matrices
  tracker->calc(nImage, -1, false, &marker_info, &numMarkers);

  // calculate matrix for a specific marker
  // works for every markerIdx smaller than numMarkers
  tracker->calcOpenGLMatrixFromMarker(marker_info+markerIdx,
patternCenter, 80.0f, openGLMatrix);
