Calvin Murphy

Former NBA superstar Calvin Murphy is the Houston Rockets all-time leading scorer and is one of only two Rockets to have his number retired. He wore number 23. Murphy still holds the NBA record for consecutive free throws made and he averaged in double figures every season he played - professionally, in college (at Niagara University in Niagara, NY), and high school (at Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Connecticut). In recognition of his outstanding career, he was inducted into the NBA Hall-Of Fame in 1992.

Calvin also lit up the annual Memorial Day Parade in Norwalk with his world class baton twirling exhibition.
