Dr Eddy Rojas started collaborating with the HIT Lab in 2001. He sought the opportunity to interact with a multidisciplinary team of experts in simulation and visualization technologies.

Eddy holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His current appointments at the University of Washington include:

- Associate Professor, Department of Construction Management
- Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Executive Director, Pacific Northwest Center for Construction Research and Education, Department of Construction Management,
- Graduate Program Coordinator, Department of Construction Management

He performs research in the areas of modeling, simulation, and visualization of construction engineering and management processes. He is currently involved with the Virtual Coach project, a simulation and visualization environment for construction management education.
