Many of the target application areas for wearable computers are those where the user could benefit from expert assistance. Internet enabled wearable computers can be used as a communications device to enable remote experts to collaborate with the wearable user. The problem we are interested is addressing is how the computing power of the wearable computer can support collaboration between multiple remote people. In particular we want to explore the following issues:

These issues are becoming increasingly important as telephones incorporate more computing power and portable computers become more like telephones. We have developed a prototype wearable conferencing interface, and have found that the spatialized audio and visual representations of remote users enables intuitive collaboration.
