The Learning Center is involved in an interdisciplinary project called PRISM, the Puget Sound Regional Synthesis Model. This project will allow students to explore how human and natural factors might impact the Puget Sound region. Although still in the early stages of development, PRISM will be a "laboratory and a classroom without walls," capable of allowing students to explore and study many important environmental and social issues of the region. The project is funded by the University of Washington "University Initiative Fund (UIF)" and is administered as a collaborative project involving partners from within the University along with representatives from the public and private sectors.

The official PRISM website can be found at: www.prism.washington.edu.
