Hey there,
If anyone could do me a big favor and send a pointer in the form
of a URL, email or a snail mail address where I could get some info on
the Power Glove Serial Interface I would appreciate it. I am also
curious of the relative quality of this compared to the Goldbrick
interface. I would be thankful of any help at all. :D
Also, I am right in believing there are *no* native powerpc world
development tools besides Renderware? Gossamer isn't native. And Walkthrough
Pro isn't all that real.

Thanks for your time and take care,
Ben Ward

"The PGSI (PowerGlove Serial Interface) is a project from UIUC and
promises to be the bestest cheapest way to use the PowerGlove with
nearly any computer. The PGSI FAQ is maintained by Ben Gross
(pgsi@uiuc.edu) and can be ftp'd from FTP.cso.uiuc.edu (128.174.5.59)
in /ACM/PGSI as PGSI.FAQ. Like most FAQs, it is irregularly posted to
various newsgroups and mailing lists.

The first batch of orders were shipped in mid 1993. There is talk of
another production run, the PGSI FAQ should be checked for the latest
data."

Hi all! I'd need the email (or fax/ph/address in order of importance)
of the following people working on VR in Australia.

The following texts have been taken from the AUSI-VR 94 conference
program. If someone has the conference proceeding, the info should be
there (almost certainly).

Thanks so much!

Just to give you the full info, here are their biographies:

William A MacCallum

Bill MacCallum has had a broad career working for the UK and Australian
Governments and private industry. He joined the Australian Department of
Defence in 1980 and became Director of Technical Security in 1990. In
addition to his general duties of managing the Directorate, Bill also
represents the Department on technical security policy matters in the
international arena. He was responsible for initiating the founding of a
four nation (America, Britain, Canada, Australia) Defence Information
Technology Security Working Group, to focus on common security standards and
the development of information system policy, standards and procedures for
secure information system interoperability.

I thought I'd come straight to the source of expertise to get
what I'm looking for. I'd like any information on where to begin my
VR education and learn all I can on how to put together a system of my
own. I have computer knowledge, but VR is fairly new, yet I am
extremely interested in pursuing it and learning all I can. I'd
appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction. Please
post a reply or mail me directly. Thank-you!

teaching myself how to program in C and I'm not very knoledgable with
most of the stuff out there. My friend made his own geer for some
scraps he hade around the house but it's very primitive. I have a very
limited buget and don't want to spend more then I have to. Any online
books, catalogs, or just information will be extreamly helpful.
