I was just wondering if there's actually a way of trying these
products out. I am going to either get the cybermaxx or the i-glasses.
If any knows of any places near southern jerseyw here they could be
tested please post a response. My mail server is down. Also, could
you please post prices for both of these, I would just like to get
an idea of how much both are.

Dear netters,

I am looking for ANY pointers to what is currenlty commercially
available in the realms of virtual reality. More specifically:

- what is the 'state of the art' of commercially available hard- and
  software related to virtual reality
- I'd prefer to (eventually) get in touch directly with suppliers, to get
  a first-hand report.
- emphasis on technology used for computer games
- no CD-i. Think, e.g. of data gloves, interactive headsets, etc. etc.

I'd appreciate any information,

Thanks

Joris

Is there a site where we can get a FAQ sheet about homebrew VR? A
few of my buddies and I are trying to get something together, but are
having a hard time making a start of it.

Does anyone reccomend any literature that might point us in the
right direction? (We need to boost our technical prowess)

Q: What is the Homebrew-VR Mailing list?

The Homebrew-VR mailing list is a listserv maintained on
sleepless.acm.uiuc.edu by Jonathan Stark (jks@uiuc.edu). The purpose
of the list is to promote the development of homebuilt virtual reality
devices and applications. Through this list, people can exchange ideas
and questions, and hopefully everyone will end up the better for
it. The Homebrew-VR list is not a commercial list. We do not welcome
lengthy conference announcements, sign up sheets, or other "bulk" type
mail that the majority of the people on the list would not find
helpful.

Q: How do I get on the Homebrew-VR Mailing list?

Subscribing to the Homebrew-VR mailing list is very easy. Simply send
mail to homebrew-vr-request@acm.uiuc.edu with a subject of
"Subscribe". You will automatically be added to the list, and will
receive all mail that is sent to the group.

Q: How do I send mail to the list?

Sending mail to the list is also very easy. Just send your mail to
homebrew-vr@acm.uiuc.edu. Your mail will then be resent to all of the
people on the list. A copy of your message will also be sent back to
you (since you are on the list!).

Q: How do I get off of the Homebrew-VR Mailing list?

To get off of the Homebrew-VR mailing list, simply send mail to
homebrew-vr@acm.uiuc.edu with a subject of "unsubscribe" from the
machine that you sent your subscription request. Your name will
automatically be removed from the list.

Hello, netizens!

I'm a research engineer who's very interested in i-glasses! HMD.
However, I live in Seoul, South Korea. There's no way I could
find to reach Virtual I/O Corp. I sent a lot of e-mail to the
company, and they didn't answer me at all.

As a netizen who can be easily ignored, I dare to ask you help me
to get it. I ftp'd a lot of i-glasses related files directly from
cam.vio.com since last November. But, I failed to find out the
company's fax number.

Let me know vio.com's fax number or any distributor who I can have
a contact via e-mail or fax.

E-mail me whatever you can tell me! I need your help now, netizens.
My e-mail address is kronos@soback.kornet.nm.kr!

Thank you very much for your immediate friendly response in advance.
