3.2.4 Homebrew-VR mailing list:

The Homebrew-VR mailing list is a listserv maintained on
sleepless.acm.uiuc.edu by Jonathan Stark (jks@uiuc.edu). The purpose
of the list is to promote the development of homebuilt virtual reality
devices and applications. Through this list, people can exchange ideas
and questions, and hopefully everyone will end up the better for
it.

Subscribing to the Homebrew-VR mailing list is very easy. Simply send
mail to homebrew-vr-request@acm.uiuc.edu with a subject of

has anyone heard about a pc version of caligari, the old cad

fond of it. If anyone has any info on comparable products for the pc

I am looking for information/techniques/equipment/papers/publications on motion tracking systems
of the type used in total immersive virtual reality headsets.

I am doing a project for the 4th year of my BSc in software engineering which will track the
motion of a motor-disabled persons head with a view to controlling the mouse pointer in MS Windows on a PC.

If anyone has any information that they could pass on to me I would be eternally gratefull.

If you could e-mail me directly it would be a great help.

Thanx.

If anyone can give me a point in the right direction I would appreciate
it. I am working on a course for my MS right now. I need to review some
high-end VR software. I need info on the following:

Form Z
Video Vision
Renderman
Video for Windows
Cyberscene
StudioVision
DEC
Metro
Pro Tools
Post View
Sound Edit 16
Sound Designer II
Painter

Mostly I am looking for platform requirements and functions of the
programs. If you want please e-mail directly to my e-mail account.

Thanks!!!!
I have something of personal request...I want...a name...

I heard from a guy I met the other day that there is some fancy
multi-player virtual reality arcade game called Virtual World or
something like that. Does anyone know anything about it? Where can I play
it? Is it in any arcades in the UK?
