I seem to remember a post to this newsgroup within the last couple of
months that dealt with the award of a contract regarding dismounted
infantry and virtual environments (the acronym that sticks in my mind is
DIVE). I've searched the 'Net and the sci.vw ftp site and can't seem to
find it. Does anyone else remember this and/or know where I can find it?
Thanks.

Subject: INFO: Stereo 3D Games (What about Virtual Boy?)

I was digging through the Sunday paper this morning and ran across an add
for a new (portable?) game console from Nintendo called 'Virtual Boy'.

It looks like a fairly cheesy set of goggles hooked up to a nintendo
controller and retails for $159; extra games are about $35.

Does anyone have any specs on this unit? Are the goggles stereo or
monocular?

I need info... please....

A few weeks ago I saw a gadget on CNN (The News Channel) and they had
showed a person that invented a gadget that you put on a finger or two
and it's capable or recieving Left, Right, Up, Down etc... joystick
commands by THOUGHT alone... You just think the way you want the cursor
to go and it goes...!

I'm not sure if it uses bio-feedback or what...

Does anybody know what I'm talking about and if so...where can I get a
gadget like this...

Thanks

Hello,

Does anyone have info on the stuntmaster goggles? They are meant for
use with nintendo/sega systems but there are mods/hacks floating
around out there for use with vga/tv input systems.

I took a look at the specs and wasn't too impressed. Obviously this
is the cheapest thing on the market (~70-80$), but i don't want to
invest in something that I will get sick of and abandon
immediately. My goal is to be able to play doom(2) comfortably and
without hurting myself. I can'tn say the idea of a monoscopic
fresnel-lens device turns me on any.

If anybody has any suggestions or stories about these goggles i would
love to hear them.

Thanks,
Andrew Schrock
