can anyone point me to literature on VR toolkits? what functionality
should be expected? what decisions need to be considered regarding data
structures? etc...

i'm interested in working on some ideas with a low-level framework but i'm
also not sure where to begin. since a framework requires careful
consideration and design choices early on in the process, i'd like to
benefit from the wisdom of other where possible.

i realize that there are commercially avaliable products (which lie
outside my price range). also, i would like the experience of programming
this myself.

thx

I am interested in learning more about Virtual Reality and the types of
applications that it is being used for. I am a beginner with a computer
background in a quest of good books, newsletters, newsgroups and web pages.

I am interested in design and use of these types of systems in a learning
environment. If anyone out there knows of any VR installations in the
Madison/Milwaukee Wisconsin area, drop me a line!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-

Hi all,

I am rather new to the VR community so that explaines the next rather simple
question.

I have to research the VR concept and give a general impression to important
group of people in a couple of months. Can any one send me info about VR ?
All info, technical or otherwise, is welcome at this time !

Please send it to : Roy Rouwkema (arroelec@cybercomm.nl)

Thanks to all who are willing to help !

I am a fourth-year computing student and for my project I have to
investigate machine independant code. The project is based around the Matel
Powerglove and I have Pascal code which runs on a 286 and not much else.

One of the goals of the project is to outline what causes interface/software
to be machine independant then apply these rules to the powerglove example

Any details on either the Powerglove or the machine independancy/dependacy
would be greatly appreciated
