Sometimes postings get lost in the ether(net). This is a case in point.
A posting dated Feb. 8th was slated to be in this digest.

The question was whether or not there was still support for the
Powerglove Serial Interface (PGSI) from the Special Interest Group for
Computer Architecture at the University of Illinois - Urbana
Champaign. Technical support is provided by pgsi@uiuc.edu. The person
posting indicated that he had emailed support, receiving to be what
appeared to be a form letter reply.

The PGSI FAQ is at:
http://www.acm.uiuc.edu/sigarch/pgsi/pgsifaq.html

However, it is dated. For example, it mentions the GLOVE-LIST that
was administered by J.E.Townsend, but no longer exists. It also
mentioned sci.virtual-words.apps which has been defunct for a couple
years.

The ftp site is also mentioned as a good source, however at the ftp site mentioned:

ftp://ftp.cso.uiuc.edu/

I couldn't find the directory /ACM/PGSI, much less the README file.

So, that's all I know.

HI,
I am investigating data gloves and I would like to know if
there is a glove out there that outputs fingure flex/ext and includes
their x, y, z positioning in space? In otherwords I am in search of
the glove that outputs the most information. Thank you Beth Crane
