Hello

I'm doing a project on Virtual Reality and I was wondering if you have
any information on 'what will VR be like in the future'. Please reply

Thanks for your time

I am and have been very intersted in VR for quite a while...i
ahve been following the news group and doing some reading, but quite
honestly there is so much I am not sure quite where to begin. If you
could help give me some suggestion I would appreciate it greatly....and
to kind of give you an idea at what level I would like to work...well, I
don't want to be just a user, I would like to be a creater. Things like
good gloves that won/'t hold me back and a good recommendation on HMD
would help alot. In addition I know that I am goin to have to upgrade my
computer, so how muych ram? accelerator board? Most important I need
stuff that isn't really going to limit me. I understand that there
really isn't a way to have it all, but I definitely need something that
will let me grow as I learn. As, far as buidget is concerned, well I am
a student and don't have tons of mone, but if its needed I will find a
way. Thanks in advance.
	Kevin

Hi all

I am new to VR but I was able to give a nice presentation in
force-feedback virtual reality.

Basically, I integrated:
1) Two haptic devices
2) Massively Parallel Computers
3) Finite Element Methods (for physically based Material deformation)
4) High speed network
5) CAVE display

So that two people could "obtain tactile feedback" (I've learned to stop
saying "feel each other") over the internet, and observe a material
deform under mutual action.

Could someone suggest a respected VR journal to which I could
submit an article?

The article will be a description of things done, and difficulties,
and suggestions.

Thanks,
Tom

Are there cheap VR glasses that can also measure the
movement of your head? How much would they cost?

Ari
