Can you provide a little more information as yo why you believe this
might be the case? I haven't heard anything lately, but that doesn't
always mean anything. As far as I could tell, when I was speaking
with their marketing guy (granted, might not mean much :) just a
couple weeks ago, everything seemed fine for soon-to-be-released
products. So, I will give a call and see if this rumor is true, but
if you could provide more information, it would be appreciated.

Now, might you be confusing Forte with Virtual i-O? Now, THEY are going
through some things at this time. They filed Chapter 11 a few weeks
ago. I tried calling every number that I had for the place and no one
was answering any phones -- except for a lone developer at the Developer
Relations number! He confirmed for me that they had filed Chapter 11,
but, according to him, they had just had a change of command and were
starting the recovery process already. He assured me, of course, that
things were all going fine and that they also had new product in
development for probably release 4Q97. However, Ingram Micro is the
nations largest wholesale distributor and I will note that the April
pricing update NO LONGER CONTAINS Virtual i-O products! Granted, this
could just be an oversight due to the Chapter 11, but I thought it was
interesting enough to mention.

Hope that helps the rumor mill a bit. Again, as far as I've heard Forte
is still going fine (heck, with VictorMaxx long out of the way and now
possibly Virtual i-O having problems, that should leave Forte sitting
pretty if they can just rid out the low-cost-dumping-of-possibly
discontinued product that usually occurs during Chapter 11 things... :)
