Subject: WANTED: software package

Does anyone know where I can find a software package that I can use before
I purchase it...This might mean a reseller or something but I need to find
a software package which fits my design specifications on my VBBS. If anyone
also knows where I can get a decent C Compiler without spending too much as
software is rediculously high down here in Alabama. If I could I would like
to find something to create worlds that look real good, that has a sorta
visual interface. Also, does anyone know how to get graphics(ansi) out of
webpage if your terminal doesnt support graphics(ansi codes etc). This may
not be possible but if it is....please help me....
