Subject: TECH: PowerGlove Serial Interface Users???

Don't know if anyone recognizes me in here anymore..... Hmmm.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could get some feedback from anyone who is or
has used the PowerGlove Serial Interface from ACM at UIUC. Has it been
obsoleted? Was it too unwieldy to use. Should there be enhancements?

Why do I want to know?

Well, as one of the designers, I always like to know where the boxes went
to after I left ACM. I am interested in what is wrong with them, and whether
it would be worth it to upgrade the firmware. I encourage the bad stories
as well as the good, as I know the shipping after I left left a little to be
desired. However, I was just wondering.....

Why ask now?

My wife and I (For those who do remember me, you will note that I got married
right as the boxes went out for shipping, and was on my honeymoon right after
college) have just purchased a house, so that I can now re-open my
electronics workshop. (I know, I said it would be open right after I got
back from my honeymoon, but I am here to tell you that I was wrong. Apartments
just aren't made for Hardware people...) However, there is no sense beating
a dead horse, so I am not going to waste time on something no one uses or
doesn't feel needs enhancement.

Anyway, if you remember me and the infamous PGSI postings, drop me a line.
Notice that I have anew email addy, although the old one at brain@cs.uiuc.edu
is still active. I would be happy to hear from you.

P.S. I am not selling them, ACM is. Email them for new ones.
P.S.2 My jlb31348@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu address is no more. Dang UIUC didn't
see fit to leave it for me... :-)
