Someone in the AOL VR Forum was having Parallel Port headaches and he
posted a solution to a problem I hadn't seen before. I am including his
post here as you may be experiencing the same problem...

Just thought I'd drop a line that may help some of you.
When hooked up my first PG several months ago, it would not respond to
anything. I spent about a week going back over my work, and finally gave
up and got another PG and started over -- same problem.
What was it causing all this grief? In the BIOS setup of my PC, my
parallel port was set to AUTOMATIC address and IRQ, and was also set to
UNIDIRECTIONAL. To get the glove to respond, I had to enter the standard
IRQ and address for LPT1 (instead of it automatically setting them), and
set the mode to BI-DIRECTIONAL. After that, I was grabbing everything in
my virtual sight in REND386.

I hope this helps some of you!
