You may want to check out AVRIL. Version 2.00 (which should be available
later this month) will allow you to "roll your own" video drivers quite
easily. In the meantime, version 1.00 is on sunee.uwaterloo.ca in the
pub/avril directory.

Note that REND386 is no longer being actively supported. I'm not sure
whether Dave is planning to do any more work on VR-386 or not; I have
the impression he's moved on to other projects (in the field of cognitive
psychology). I know that VR-386 hasn't been updated in over a year.

No, and there probably won't be; the BGI drivers are *very* slow, much
too slow for VR applications.

With AVRIL, there's a possibility of using *both* a BGI driver and an
AVRIL driver simultaneously; however, it will require a little bit of
programming (in C) to do.
