General Reality Company Ships
Arcade-Hardened Head-Mounted Display

Leading Head-Mounted Display Supplier Delivers Popular CyberEye(tm) HMD To
Location-Based Entertainment Customers

January 18, 1995, San Jose, CA: General Reality Company today announced
immediate availability of its new "CyberEye Arcade" series of head-mounted
displays (HMDs). Based on General Reality's widely acclaimed industrial
HMD models, the Arcade line features completely immersive operation,
ruggedized housings, integrated 30hz head-tracker, and a unique security
cable to prevent theft.

General Reality Company developed the Arcade series in response to
requests from leading entertainment system developers and arcade operators
for a safer, less intrusive, lower-cost HMD that can stand up to the
intense rigors of near-continuous operation in harsh environments. One
leading arcade system producer, Scott Jochim of Ferris Productions
(Tucson, AZ), states "CyberEye has been well-received by our customers.
Its solid design, low weight, and overall performance meet our stringent
requirements, and support has been excellent".

General Reality Company expects the new models to successfully challenge
Liquid Image (Winnepeg, Canada), historical market share leader in the
arcade HMD arena. According to Arthur Zwern, president of General Reality
Company, "Our new CyberEye ACE-100M Arcade Model is half the weight of
conventional arcade HMDs, in a more hygienic and comfortable open-frame
design. The visual images are much more detailed, less distorted and more
pleasing to the eyes. There are no optical adjustments to fiddle with, and
you can drop the HMD without hurting it. With our new security cable,
we've even made the HMD nearly theft-proof. Our motto, as always, is 'wear
and compare'".

The CyberEye Arcade series currently includes two models, the single video
input ACE-100M at $2,395, and the dual video input (true 3D) stereoscopic
Model ACE-100S at $2,895. The optional 30hz tracker lists for $850, and
includes a mouse emulation function to simplify integration with
point-of-view games such as DOOM.

Volume pricing begins at 20% discount for five unit orders, and 25% for
ten units, resulting in the lowest HMD pricing yet offered to serious
arcade system integrators. According to Zwern, "Our repeat customers are
now paying below $2,500 for high-performance arcade HMDs including
integrated trackers. This price level is significantly lower than other
alternatives, which should help reduce per-minute costs to the end user".

General Reality is a leading virtual reality technology supplier, with a
customer base that includes the largest AutoCad training center in the
world, leading virtual reality researchers, Fortune 500 companies, and
government installations. The Company's mission is to serve emerging
visual computing markets by delivering compelling professional work tools
based on immersive virtual reality technologies. General Reality can be
