Subject: NEW-PROD: GesturePlus(TM) Gesture Recognition System

	Virtual Technologies Announces GesturePlus
		Gesture Recognition System

PALO ALTO, Calif. (September 1, 1995) - Virtual Technologies,
Inc. today announced that it is now accepting orders for its
GesturePlus(TM) gesture recognition system at an introductory price of
US$3,500 for U.S. end-users. The GesturePlus system is scheduled to
start shipping November 1, 1995, with the special price to remain in
effect through December 31, 1995.

The patented GesturePlus system is simple to use and interfaces as a
stand-alone hardware device that connects to a host computer via an
RS232 serial port. The GesturePlus system recognizes user-definable
hand gestures that are sensed using Virtual Technologies'
CyberGlove(TM) fully-instrumented glove. The CyberGlove, with a
delivery time currently estimated at four to eight weeks, is available
for both the left and right hands in 18-sensor and 22-sensor models.
The CyberGlove system is sold separately from the GesturePlus system.
Following a simple training procedure where the user performs examples
of his or her gestures, the GesturePlus system reliably recognizes
each gesture and relays the information to the host application.
"GesturePlus performs all the computationally intensive calculations
needed for its state-of-the-art gesture recognition algorithm, freeing
up the host computer to manage a virtual reality (VR) or other 3D
graphic application," announced James F. Kramer, founder and president
of Virtual Technologies. He added that the GesturePlus system, as a
member of the company's GestureWear(TM) product line, is able to
provide hand-based control input for other general applications
including Virtual Technologies' CyberCAD(TM) program as well as
computer operating systems, task training, telerobotics, virtual
reality and sign language recognition.
