Ms. Emerson,

As the keeper of the sci.virtual-worlds web page, and the moderator of the
news group of
the same name, I thought I'd send this to you as well as the newsgroup.

I work for a company, GreyStone, that has a VR game that is just being
released. The
game is called Magball and is something like virtual hockey. You sit in an
Andromeda pod
and have two joysticks to control your motion and to attract and repel,
magnetically of
course, the ball. It can be played 1 on 1 or with teams of up to three
people. There
are two levels of play, novice and advanced, so that anyone can play and
enjoy it. It is
a non-violent game that I think will appeal to most people.

I am a software engineer, but I did not actually work on this game. I did
however, get
to help with the beta-testing. This is one of the major benefits working
for a VR
entertainment company. The game is fast and fun.

If you would like more information or have any comments, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Steven K. Sharp
Software Engineer

Exciting New Sports VR Game Debuts in San Francisco

A new Virtual Reality offering hits the streets this week with the
introduction of GreyStone Technology's MagBall(TM), a fast moving virtual
sports game, at CyberMind's Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. Up to six
players can share the arena in an exciting team game, guiding their agile
"MagPods" around opponents, grabbing the magnetic puck, and firing into the
circular goal.

Game play takes place in GreyStone's stylish new Andromeda(TM) virtual
reality platform, snugly seated in a high-tech pod with high-quality
graphics and scintillating, immersive sound. The excitement is not limited
to just the players; bystanders (and wanna-be players) can enjoy the game on
a TV sports coverage-like big-screen view of the action. CyberMind has
placed orders for two more sets of GreyStone VR equipment to be placed in
other CyberMind locations.

CyberMind is located at One Embarcadero Center, Lobby Level. They can be
found on the Web at http://www.cybermind.com, or reached by phone at
415-693-0348. MagBall will be open to play by the public beginning Friday,
June 30. For further information on GreyStone VR products, contact David
Klugh at 619-675-7800 or dklugh@gstone.com
