The annual HCI conference brings together researchers and
practitioners, from both industry and the academic community, who
are working to improve the effectiveness of computers as a tool
for people. The conference is a major international forum for
both the people-orientated disciplines of human factors,
psychology and ergonomics, and the computer-orientated disciplines
of software engineering, systems analysis and project management.
Computer users from other disciplines are also welcome.

Key Topics for the conference include: * design and design
   methodologies * evaluation * formal methods * groupwork/CSCW
   * intelligent & adaptive interfaces * interaction architectures,
tools & techniques * models of the user * multimedia/hypermedia
   * organisational and societal issues * standards
   * telepresence/teleworking   * user interface management
   * users with special needs * virtual reality

The HCI series of conferences is organised by the British HCI
Group. The conference proceedings will be published by Cambridge
University Press. In addition the short papers and other
contributions will be collected into an adjunct proceedings to be
   distributed at the conference.

approximately 100 words and a keyword list.

Industrial Reports deadline 13th Jan
These may be of any reasonable length and detail.
Refereeing (by industrially experienced referees) will be
stringent on content, but less so on packaging (research context,
   references etc.).

Panels deadline 13th Jan
Please submit a 2-page proposal, including position statement from
