Welcome to ICAT/VRST '95!

ICAT was the first international conference on virtual reality open to all
who are interested in this field. For the last four years, ICAT has had many
speakers from all over the world present their latest research. This year, the
5th ICAT conference is combined with VRST '95. VRST was first held in Singapore
last year. The program included papers, panels, tutorials, demonstrations,
opening plenary and invited talks. Selected papers presented at VRST'94 are
being published in special issues of ACM TOCHI and CACM. The proceedings for
VRST'94 were published by World Scientific Publishing. By combining the two
events together, we will be able to bring you the most comprehensive coverage
of VR, and a good opportunity to meet many of the top Japanese VR researchers.
