GREETINGS!  As conference organizer for Mecklermedia's annual East and
West Coast VR conferences and exhibitions, I'm pleased to invite you
to the largest, most complete Mecklermedia VR conference ever!  The
dates are MAY 22-25, 1995, in SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, in the San Jose
Convention Center.  This event is co-sponsored by Mecklermedia's _VR
WORLD_ magazine, which I edit, and Ben Delaney's _CYBEREDGE JOURNAL._
This is going to be a big one.  Don't miss it!
 
VR95 is putting a special spotlight on vertical market business
applications, with world-class presentations from developers and users
around the world speaking on Out of Home Entertainment, Consumer
Games, Networking and Telecommunications (Televirtual Experience),
Design, Training, Garage & Lower-Cost VR, VR on the The Internet, Arts
& Culture, Desktop VR, and more.
 
The entire conference features more than 120 of the world's leading
authorities from the emerging VR industry.  For the first time, VR95
will feature an "Asian Intiatives" panel with representatives from
Singapore, Korea, India, Japan, and maybe even China, where the first
VR workshop takes place this April.
 
OPENING ADDRESS and MECKLERMEDIA VR INDUSTRY AWARDS.  We are honored
to have Dr.  Tom Furness, Director of the Human Interface Technology
Laboratory at the University of Washington, to open the general event
with his May 22 keynote, "My Forecast for the Future of the VR
Industry."  The Fourth Annual Mecklermedia awards for the advancement
of the VR industry will be made on Wednesday morning, May 23.  (Find
your nominating forms for the awards on pages 36-37 of the March/April
issue of _VR World_ magazine, now in your mailbox and on newsstands
everywhere).
 
TUTORIALS: May 22-25.  Monday, May 22, is devoted to pre-conference
tutorials.  Check out several new tutorials, including "How to Select,
Apply, and use Headmounted Displays" and the "CDK and NAVIGATOR
Techniques for 3D Studio Modelers."
 
EXHIBIT OPPORTUNITIES -- SIGN UP NOW!.  Exhibit Hall hours are
Tuesday, May 23, from 10-6; Wednesday, May 24, from 10-6; and Tuesday,

for exhibit space now, while it's still available.  Floor space is

SPECIAL EVENTS.  Other special events being held in conjunction with
the conference include Louis Brill's 1995 version of his popular "VR
Video Festival," to be shown Tuesday evening, May 23.  Also, the
special-interest VIrtual Reality Group (VeRGE) will hold a special
