Call for Submissions - Visualization and Modelling

                       VISUALIZATION AND MODELLING

The British Computer Society Computer Graphics & Displays Group will hold an
international two day meeting on this theme to take place in the UK
5-7 December 1995. A book based on, but not restricted to, papers presented
at the event will be published after the meeting. Visualization techniques
and tools are used in a wide variety of disciplines, including science,
engineering, medicine, business, and more recently in financial and economic
modelling.

Topics to be covered may include (and are not not limited to) the following -

	# Visualization Techniques # Visualization Hardware
	# Visualization and VR # Applications
	# Volume Visualization # Perception Issues
	# Collaborative Visualization # Distributed Visualization
	# Modelling Complexity # Large Data Sets
	# Foundations and Standards # Flow Visualization
	# Multimedia Aspects # Visualization Systems
	# Broadband Networks & Systems # Visual Programming
	# Case Studies # Application Builders
	# Video Interfaces # Advanced Systems
	# User interfaces # Media integration
	# Information Visualization # Medical Visualization
	# Animation # Interaction
	# Virtual Reality # Mathematical Visualization

Other areas of interest will also be considered by the editors.

A number of experienced researchers and developers from Europe and the USA
have already expressed their wish to contribute to the event and book, so
the project is assured of a high quality and an international profile.
Selection of papers for presentation at the meeting will be by invitation
or by review of abstracts. Chapters for the book will be selected by review
of full papers. Initial interest should be expressed by contacting Prof John
Vince or Huw Jones at the addresses given below with three paper copies or
one e-mail copy of an abstract giving a title, a description of the paper
content, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of author(s), a contact
address (e-mail and/or postal), telephone and/or FAX number. If a paper
is accepted for the meeting, one of the authors will be expected to attend
to present it. In this case Conference fees will be waived for the presenter.
