The purpose of SCS is to facilitate communication among practitioners in the areas of computer simulation and mathematical modeling. SCS has a worldwide membership and is a member of the American Federation of Information Processing Societies and the American Automatic Control Council. Planning is underway for the 1996 Conference on Military, Government, and Aerospace Simulation. This is a stand-alone, technical conference in conjunction with the 1996 Simulation MultiConference on Computer Simulation sponsored by the Society for Computer Simulation. The 1996 Simulation MultiConference will be held March 31 - April 4 in New Orleans, Louisiana and promises to be one of the best yet. The subject material covers a wide variety of industrial, commercial and government interests. I ask that you please give the enclosed conference announcement and call for papers to any persons in your organization that are involved in the area of military, government, or aerospace simulation. If you, yourself, are interested in any of these areas, please consider actively participating in the conference. If you have any other areas that you would like to sponsor, please send me a session proposal.
