           Electronic Cafe International's home base in Santa Monica,
                 in association with the ECI Virtual Reality SIG

                                     PRESENTS:

               Michael Boehm will review the VRML version of the
                    Interactive Media Festival's ARC Gallery
                                    (ON SITE)

                                       and

                   "VIRTUAL VALLEY" Founder Cleopatra Alfenita
                       (FROM SAN FRANCISCO VIA PICTURETEL)



The next meeting of the monthly VRSIG at The Electronic Cafe International
in Santa Monica, will take place on Tuesday June 20th. The meeting will
begin at 7:30 PM with a PictureTel video conference interview featuring
Ms.
Cleopatra Alfenita, a writer and VR marketing/Public Relations consultant.
Cleo is also the founder and organizer of "VIRTUAL VALLEY", The VRSIG for
San Francisco's South Bay Area and Silicon Valley. She will be joined by
some of the VR technologists from her group, which has been meeting every

months since September of 1994. Cleo will discuss her views on Virtual
Reality as a marketing tool, as well as discuss the ongoing activities of
VIRTUAL VALLEY.

Joining us for a live presentation at The Electronic Cafe International 
will be Michael Boehm, President of Fish Interactive in Pasadena. Michael
served as leader of the Southern California team that worked on The
Motorola Interactive Media Festival's ARC Gallery VRML (Virtual Reality
Modeling Language) Project. The recently completed Festival was held at
the
Variety Arts Center in Downtown Los Angeles.The collaboratve ARC VRML
project produced a 3D, navigable, virtual version of The Variety Arts
Center and the ARC Gallery on their World Wide Web Site
(http://www.arc.org/). In addition, still video images were captured by
various cameras throughout the duration of the ARC Gallery exhibition, and
GIF versions of these real world still images were textured onto selected
polygons in the Web based VRMLworld, every 15 minutes. Michael will speak
about some of the valuable lessons learned by the team of northern and
southern Californians who participated in this pioneering VRML project.

The Electronic Cafe International is located at 1649 18th Street in Santa
Monica's 18th Street Arts Complex. From the 405 and the 10 Fwys
intersection, take the 10 West to the Cloverfield/26th Street exit. Go
right to Olympic, left to 18th Street, then right to the end of the block.
The Cafe is located on the Southeast corner of the parking lot on the
right
at the end of 18th street. Parking is available in the lot, on 18th
Street,
and on Olympic. Admission in Santa Monica is $10.00. For more information
