Subject: VRML Query - Why no mention?

There are moves afoot to develop a Virtual Reality Mark-up Language (VRML)
to do for consensual shared VR what Netscape (and the like) have done for
HyperText. Why is there no mention of it here?

I'm interested in setting up a Teaching Companies Scheme collaboration
with any interested Industrial partners to develop this technology. It
promises a lot more than desk-top video conferencing as there is less data
to send and more computation than communcation requirements.
