BBN is currently fielding networked interactive visual simulation
training systems. Each image generator can be configured to generate
from 1 to 16 separate visual channels (depending upon the hardware
configuration). Currently one or two image generators are used
per simulator. Networks of more than several hundred simulators exist.
In the abscence of any standard, I think that BBN is the defacto
standard.
