Goodness, I was just about to post something similar.

Well, here is my own little blurb...

_NewReality_ is a small desktop publication that hasn't yet seen its
first printing... it's being done by a poor college student with very little
money, at a school where there is apparently no VR research being done.
I'm looking for things ranging from cyberpunk fiction, actual estimates of
when Joe Six-pack will be able to afford this, what sort of worlds there are
now (hopefully from people who have actually worked/played in them), to
whacked-out conspiracy theories and environmental geosociopolitical cries for
revolutions to save the world...

I'd like to know what sort of things people are actually working on,
what kind of softwear there is out there, how people view the impact of VR,
and generally enlightening reading material.

Could I possibly convince you to write up a short article concerning
what you see in the future of cyberspace research, and such? I would almost
print a usenet posting, but there are numerous problems, such as copyright
infringement and the fact that magazine/newsletter meterial is more in the form
of an article than a dialogue... I would even be happy with an edited
compilation of usenet articles if it read nicely.

I don't anticipate being able to make a profit of any sort for the
first few issues... the magazine is called _NewReality_, and I'm still working
on the first issue. It may or may not take off. I could probably send you
a copy either via snail mail or in PostScript form when it's done if you
wanted.

[MODERATOR'S NOTE: (These long signatures in the aggregate sure use us a
lot of memory on the host machines....)

There is no problem posting a USENET entry if you first secure the author's
permission to do so. This is extremely easy to do. This has less to do with
copyright than with common courtesy and respect for people's opinions. --
