I have some technical questions about the VPL Dataglove -- this was
the most appropriate group i could find.  If you have experience with
the dataglove please read this and see if you can help me.

We have a glove (connected to a SPARC) with 14 sensors - 10 Flex and 4
abduction sensors (measuring distance between fingers).  However, we
have no way of calibrating the 4 extra sensors (The calibration program
we got 'fastcal' only does the 10 joint sensors).  Has anyone done
this that could offer some advice (and/or source code!)?  Also, we are
unable to download calibration files, but have to recalibrate with
fastcal everytime we start up.  The provided library function that
supposedly downloads the calibration file does not work.  I tried
writing my own code to download the file but could not figure out the
format (of the calibration file output by fastcal).  If anyone else
done this already or knows the format of the calibration file, i'd
like to hear from them.

We have tried to contact VPL for about a month now without any
response, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for any help and apologies if this was the inappropriate group
(especially since we are not <gasp> using the glove for VR purposes
(don't ask..))
