Running the net is a remarkable experience when you try to do it by
airplane.  Bring on cyberspace, please!

Shortly I will post the interesting developments expressed to me on
my most recent trip to Japan last month (including the full-on emer-
gence of an industrial group around *kansei* and "human-centered"
technology), and the somewhat disappointing "response" from the
American telecommunications industry at a major annual conference in
Chicago.

Portland was just a nice place to visit.
