Logitech announced and demoed an ultrasonic rig at SIGGRAPH '91.
It has a thing that sits on your monitor, and up to four movable
things.  The mobile units have head-mount things and hand-held wands.

I heard price rumors of $500 to $2000.  The Power Glove pricing
shows that the parts themselves are not expensive; it's just a
matter of volume.  Unless they write a Lotus 1-2-3 or Wordstar
mouse driver or something like that, it's not going to fly off
the shelves of computer retail stores.

Big news on the Power Glove: the code has been cracked! 
An Atari program was distributed on the Power Glove list,
