There is an archive at karazm.math.uh.edu in pub/VR containing
source code for glove interfaces for several types of computers
(and probably more soon). Actually, this is a big announcement:

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

A gentleman in Germany (manfredo) has used a logic analyser
to determine the glove's hi-resolution protocol (the one
containing the useful 3D data, not the "lo-res" joystick
emulation in _Byte_).

He wrote C source code for the Atari 1040 ST to initialize
and sample the glove in hi-res mode. A few days after the
source was posted, several other people had converted it to
run on the 386 and 486 PC (and posted the source at karazm).
More people are now working on versions for the Amiga,
Mac, and seperate hardware (like the 68HC11).

This is a big breakthru. Everyone on glove-list is thrilled.
We're now talking about interface standards so applications
will run on various hardware, and about what 3D graphics libraries
are useful (VOGLE is being discussed).

For more info on glove interfacing and other low-end VR discussions,
you can join the glove mailing list by sending Email with
subject "subscribe" to glove-list-request@karazm.math.uh.edu.
