                          CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Graphics Interface '92 is the eighteenth Canadian  conference  on  computer
graphics  and interactive techniques, and is the oldest regularly scheduled
computer graphics conference in the world.  Now an annual conference,  film
festival,  and  tutorials,  Graphics Interface has established a reputation
for a high-quality technical programme.  The 1992 conference will  be  held
in  Vancouver,  British  Columbia,  11-15  May  1992  in  conjunction  with
Artificial Intelligence '92 and Vision Interface '92.   Graphics  Interface
'92  is  sponsored by the Canadian Human-Computer Communications Society in
cooperation with ACM SIGGRAPH.

IMPORTANT DATES:
     Five copies of a full paper due:        31 October 1991
     Tutorial proposals due:                15 November 1991
     Authors notified:                       5 February 1992
     Cover submissions due:                     1 March 1992
     Final paper due:                          27 March 1992
     Electronic Theatre Submissions due:      15 April  1992

TOPICS: Contributions are solicited describing as yet unpublished  research
results  in  all areas of computer graphics and human-computer interaction,
including but not restricted to the  following  areas:  image  Synthesis  &
realism,  user  interface  tools  and  studies,  illumination and rendering
algorithms, computer  supported  co-operative  work,  Geometric  modelling,
interactive   techniques,   computer   animation   and   simulation,  image
processing, sampling and filtering, visualization.

Five copies of full papers should  be  submitted  to  the  Programme  Chair
before 31 October 1991. Include with the paper full names, addresses, phone
numbers, fax numbers and electronic mail addresses of all the authors.  One
author should be designated ``contact author''.
