I love the work the lab is doing, but the publication record of their results
is rather dismal.  There stuff rarely makes it into major journals, at least
not at the rate of two *new* articles per researcher per year typical of
MIT-class researchers.  This claim is based on the two times I've asked
for references of certain projects the lab has been working on and got near
zilch.  I have also asked for a bibliography of articles from the whole lab
and a list of internal technical reports with a null result.  No publish: no
use.
