	ETA Technologies, located in San Diego, is working with the
	Naval Oceans Systems Center on SIMNET related issues. SIMNET
	is being used by the Army for training purposes. A standard
	is being developed on Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS),
	the successor to SIMNET. This effort is being coordinated by
	the Institute for Simulation and Training at the
	University of Central Florida.The current draft standard
	deals with simulation protocols for communicating the state
	of the simulation among the participants. Communication
	architecture and networking standards still need to be
	developed.
